SUSQUEHANNA RIVER 2008 CALENDAR

For the second year, Shank’s Mare has sponsored a Susquehanna River Calendar Photo Contest. From all the entries received, our independent judge has selected 13 beautiful Susquehanna River scenes to adorn our 2008 calendar. This year, the amateur photographers once again provided us with outstanding photos. The calendar gives a beautiful overview of our magnificant Susquehanna River...its waters, wildlife, and fabulous panoramas. The calendars are now on sale at Shank’s Mare for $19.99. Thanks to all who submitted photos, and congratulations to our winners.

Susquehanna River Calendar Contest 2008-09

For the third year, Shank’s Mare will be compiling a calendar from Susquehanna River photos you supply to us! As you enjoy your adventures in the Susquehanna River Valley, snap those pictures and submit your best to our Second Annual Susquehanna River Calendar Contest. We will be publishing a 2009 calendar featuring the best entries submitted. Upon publishing, the calendars will be available for sale at Shank’s Mare.

Our collections of photos entered last year were spectacular. It was difficult for our independent judge to pick just 13 of them. We would like to see some varied subject matter such as wildlife, native plants, river activities, seasonal photos, etc. As you all know, there is no lack of fabulous subject matter on the Susquehanna!

Here are the contest guidelines:

Submit color photos, horizontally oriented, preferably in digital format. Limit (3) photos per photographer. Please note that photos in the digital format are better to work with and produce the best quality reproduction in the calendar.
Photos must be submitted no later than August 15, 2008. No late entries will be accepted.
Mark the back of photos or your disk with name, address, city, state, zip, phone #, and email address. Please be sure that when you mark your photos the writing doesn’t interfere with the photo itself. On prints, be sure to use a felt tip pen or stick a label on so that impressions won’t appear on the front of the picture.
Do not mount photos.
Once photos are submitted, they will not be returned to the photographer. Photos may be used by Shank’s Mare at their discretion.
