Outdoor Discovery Day Camp

Each day offers a different adventure in paddling, hiking and nature exploration. Campers will float down the Susquehanna one day and explore Fishing Creek with all its natural wonders another. They will wander through a Tectonic cave and hike the same trails the Susquehanna Indians traveled hundreds of years ago. Boys and girls 10-12 years of age may register for this day camp program (must be those ages any time in 2008).

Outdoor Adventure Week

Our older campers (13-15 years) will experience a different adventure each day. They will do kayak lessons and tours on the Susquehanna. They'll explore Wind Cave one day, and tackle a challenging Ropes Course another. (Campers must be within the 13-15 yr. age range any time in 2008.)

2008 marks the 15th season for our Outdoor Adventure Camps for Kids. Some of our original campers are now visiting Shank’s Mare kids of their own! Please note that Shank’s Mare provides pick-up and drop-off service for our campers in both York and Lancaster.
