Did you know that the Lower Susquehanna is the site of a tectonic cave...a cavern formed by layers of shifting rock versus the typical limestone and water formation? Come explore Wind Cave with us. Following a hike to the entrance, enter the cave and explore the twists and turns of this unique formation located on the Conestoga Trail in Lancaster County. The hike up to the cave and back is about a mile and a half. To enter and navigate the cave, you will have to do some bending and twisting. Flashlights (headlamps work best), sturdy footwear, long sleeves and pants required. The temperature inside the cave will be about 55 degrees. Hard hats are provided.
