Paddle Day Tour - Vinegar Ferry to John Wright (Wrightsville)
Launch at the Vinegar Ferry Road boat ramp and paddle the river route that for hundreds of years served as a highway for its settlers. Commerce flowed continuously, and its effects accumulated. As we paddle this historic area, you will explore some of the environmental issues that remain, and at the same time admire the amazing beauty of Chiques Rock cliffs and more. A delicious picnic lunch is provided. Rent your equipment or bring your own. Paddlers will meet us at the take-out and leave their cars there. They will then be shuttled to the put-in.

Our paddling pace is leisurely as we explore the river. The tour is 7 miles of paddling.
Materials Included:
Fee includes all your gear, guides, shuttle from take-out to put-in, and lunch. There is a fee noted if you have your own kayak and gear.
Requirements:
Participants should wear clothing suitable for watersports as well as water shoes (no flip flops). We recommend cool weather clothing (no cotton), nylon shell or paddling jacket, hat with a brim and water bottle.
Instructor Bio:
Shank's Mare instructors have years of experience leading participants on paddle tours. They will share highlights of the Susquehanna River sure to give you a valuable "sense of place" on your paddle tour.
