Since 1978, Shank's Mare has been dedicated to emphasizing the environment, cultural, and recreational opportunities of the Lower Susquehanna River area. To further those efforts, Shank's Mare's Outdoor Education Center offers paddlesports instruction, guided paddling and hiking tours, school field trips, corporate outings, environmental and cultural programs, and an outdoor adventures for the whole family.
